In trying to pull together a thin veneer of purpose for writing a romantic Buffy/Boromir scene, I've been doing a little research. Today, I came across this article: http://www.poppolitics.com/articles/2003-05-20-buffydark.shtml. 

It's called "The (Un)Bearable Darkness of Buffy", by Christopher Wisniewski, who imho is a clever, challenging NY film writer.

I'm posting the link here for anyone like me who was not thrilled with season 6. Wisniewski's analysis of what I have until now considered to be a depressing mess of a season, is quite interesting.

Well worth a read if you have the time.

You know it's a strange thing to bump into your addictions when you're not looking where your going, as you might a stranger on the street.

I like sharing bits of my favorite works with other readers.

Hey y'all,

Wow! It's been an ice age since I've been here.

Ok, first of all. You're the best. I really appreciate all of your support and kindness. I don't in any way deserve it, but I'll take it just the same and thank you for it so much.

Right now, I'm taking a break--probably until the new SG and Atlantis seasons start, so about a month. I just need to not write for a little bit. Maybe I'll learn how to pic manip or add chapters to my LJ or build a website. Maybe I'll fly kites or paint or swim in my spare time. But I really need to take a small breather.

I have a love-hate relationship with a blank page.

I hate it because it's untainted. Pure. Perfect already, without my interference. And my fears rush to the surface. My skin flushes. My hands sweat on the keyboard. What if I'm kidding myself, wasting my time? What if everything I write is drivel, whimsical, and absurd?
